$400k for a life, $2.1 million for a lunch

29 06 2008

The internet is a great distorter of value sometimes. eBay was doing well for publicity in Australia today with two stories in the top six of the Sydney Morning Herald online.

In one, a Brit in Perth has sold his life on the internet auction site for $399,00. In the other a Chinese investment fund manager won the chance to have lunch with billionaire Warren Buffett by bidding $US2.19 million in the most expensive charity event every held on the site.

What can one possibly add to that?
